A PLAN FOR YOUR MEMORIAL

Start with the care you need.

Ongoing care means different things to different families. You may want help looking after a grave between your own visits, or a conversation about the attention an older memorial needs. Tell us about the memorial, its setting and what you would like help with.

We will discuss the service available at the cemetery, the work involved and suitable visit arrangements. The plan is agreed for your location and circumstances, with the details made clear before any care is arranged.

AGREE THE DETAILS

A clear scope, with no assumptions.

A care enquiry is a chance to set out your wishes and understand what is appropriate for the memorial. These are the details we will work through together.

  • The memorial and grave

The cemetery location, grave reference, stone and surrounding area help us understand the place to be cared for.

  • The work requested

Explain the tending or maintenance you have in mind. Cleaning, repairs and restoration can be discussed separately where needed.

  • Visit arrangements

We discuss the visits needed, confirm availability for the location and set out the agreed work and quotation before you decide.

GRAVE TENDING

Respect for the place and your wishes.

Grave tending should take account of the cemetery’s rules as well as the family’s preferences. Share any features, planting or personal items that need particular consideration, and anything that should be left undisturbed.

If the memorial has not been visited recently, a current photograph and any known condition concerns are useful. Where the stone needs restoration or attention to its lettering, we can discuss that as part of a separate assessment rather than treating it as routine tending.

There is no need to settle every detail in the first conversation. We can begin with the location and your priorities, then explain the next step and the information needed to prepare a quotation.

A little clarity

Questions you may have.

There is no need to have everything worked out. We are here to talk through the details with you.

Can I enquire if I live away from the cemetery?

Yes. Share the cemetery name, location and any grave reference you have. We can discuss care availability and what information is needed.

What is included in a care plan?

The work and visit arrangements are agreed for the individual memorial and location. We will explain the proposed care and confirm the scope and quotation with you.

Can a care plan include restoration?

Restoration needs to be considered according to the condition of the memorial. We can discuss an assessment and a separate scope of work alongside ongoing maintenance.
