RESTORING CARE. PRESERVING MEANING.

Care for the memorial already in place.

When time and weather leave their mark, we can help you understand the attention a memorial needs and the next step towards an assessment.

LOOK AT WHAT IS THERE

The right care begins with the condition.

A memorial may need a gentle clean, attention to its lettering, a repair or a more detailed restoration discussion. The appropriate work depends on the stone, finish, age and current condition. We begin by understanding the memorial rather than assuming the same treatment will suit every surface.

Tell us what you have noticed and where the memorial is located. Clear current photographs can help us discuss the work and whether an assessment is needed before a quotation can be prepared.

WHAT WE CAN DISCUSS

Considered work, agreed with you.

Al Nour’s services include cleaning, restoration, repairs and re-lettering. The scope is agreed for the individual memorial, with any cemetery requirements considered before the work is arranged.

  • Cleaning

Discuss the surface condition and the type of stone, so that the proposed cleaning is suitable for the memorial.

  • Repairs and restoration

Show us the areas that need attention. We can advise on the next step towards assessing damage and discussing the work involved.

  • Lettering

If an inscription has become difficult to read, share a close photograph so we can discuss the lettering and possible attention it may need.

A HELPFUL FIRST ENQUIRY

A few details help us guide you.

Please include the cemetery name and town, a grave reference if known, and a short description of your concerns. Photographs of the full memorial and the affected areas are useful, along with any known previous repairs, cleaning dates or access restrictions.

If a memorial appears loose or leaning, avoid touching or attempting to move it and contact the cemetery team about the concern. We can discuss professional assessment and the work needed, without making a judgement about safety from a photograph alone.

You can also ask about ongoing care once the immediate work has been considered. Visit arrangements and maintenance availability depend on the memorial and its location.

A little clarity

Questions you may have.

There is no need to have everything worked out. We are here to talk through the details with you.

Can you quote from a photograph?

Photographs help us understand the enquiry, but some work may require an assessment before a quotation is possible. We will explain what we need once we have the cemetery and memorial details.

Will a memorial look new after cleaning?

Results depend on the material, age, surface finish and condition. We discuss the work that may be appropriate; we do not promise a like-new result.

Can you arrange regular care afterwards?

Yes, ask us about Memorial Care Plans and grave tending. We will confirm availability, the scope of care and visit arrangements for the location.
